The Conferences or branches of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are directly in contact on a person to person basis with the poor, the marginalised and particularily those who suffer modern forms of poverty such as AIDS victims, abused women, abandoned children and migrant workers. Conferences consists of between 8 to 15 members who meet weekly to discuss problems relating to the poor and how to effectively help them. The following conferences form the backbone of the Society in Malaysia.
